I was really worried that he'd be freaked out when he woke up, not being able to see out of his left eye but the hospital staff said that he was amazing.
He really is a special puppy. Every day he amazes me.
He'll have his third eyelid stitched over his eye (see picture below) for about 4 weeks. I'm just glad he's okay and I still think he's a cutie pants.

Oh poor Franken-Arthur! Poor little boy. I'm glad to hear he's on the mend. What a good mommy you were to bring him to the vet so many times. Something similar happened to one of my kitties, and I fear what would have happened if I wasn't such an attentive mommy.
ReplyDeleteOur vet called the cones 'lampshades', which just made them look even sillier and more helpless. I can't help but giggle at how awkward they are when they're bumping around the place.

Ya, Arthur looks pretty silly walking around with his lampshade -- it wiggles when he waddles. When I take him for his walks people laugh at him from a distance but then look horrified when they get close.
DeleteI've learned from this whole ordeal to take him to a ophthalmologist instead of a vet when anything happens. I can't help but think if this could have been avoided if we took him there first.

I hope Arthur is feeling better! I can't wait for an update too see the progress! Give our bunny kisses to Arthur as we know it is an adjustment & no doubt the dizziness & headaches are just starting to stop! Seriously, I covered my one eye & walked around & it is an adjustment! Bunbun & Arthur need a pic together to show how great life is...no matter what!! Good mummies help though!! xo
