Hope everyone is doing okay this Halloween Day, especially those on the East Coast. We were hit with some pretty high winds and heavy rain in Toronto, my skirt blew over my head Monday night *embarrassed*, but other than that we're alright. Well wishes to those who were/are majorly affected by the storm.
I was hoping to carve our Halloween pumpkin last night unfortunately I didn't have the time. Luckily I did get the chance to research some designs and I thought I'd share some with you.
Here are some of my favourites:
Archer and Lana Pumpkins
I saw this image over at This Blog Rules and totally nerded out. You can download the stencils here and if I have the time tonight, this is what my pumpkin is going to look like.
Krang O' Lantern by #MikeVDesign
As great as this pumpkin is, it also annoys me because all I want to do is eat watermelon now and I don't have any. But it's extremely well done and I really admire sculpted jack o' lanterns.
Speaking of sculpted pumpkins, I'm sure you have all seen this Predator pumpkin before but I'm including it because it's one of my favourite sculpted pumpkins (I love movies with Predators in them except for the movie Predators). I found this picture on this site, which also has a few more pumpkin sculptures.
I found this picture over at the BallWalkPark blog. The best part is that the post includes a link to a French Bulldog stencil.
Okay, obviously this is a little above my talent level plus I think the pumpkin I have is like 1/20th the size but come on, this is amazing! I had to include it.
Have you carved your pumpkin yet? Is there a picture posted anywhere that you'd like to share?
Happy Halloween!
Alex & Arthur
Wow! These are amazing. They put my pumpkin to shame. I did a dead pumpkin with 'x' eyes.
ReplyDeleteHave a spooky one! :)
Hey, let's not knock the classics. Nothing wrong with a good ol' x-eyed pumpkin. :)
DeleteThe Krang one is such a great idea!
ReplyDeletePeople are so creative. When I first saw the pumpkin, it reminded me of the Halloween costume from (last year?) where the Krang actually moves and talks.

I am in awe of the zombie pumpkin, it is amazing. It would be gross when it starts to rot though!!
ReplyDeleteEww...I mean it would add to the realism but ya, ewwww.
DeleteThe Archer pumpkins are ALMOST as awesome as the poodle pumpkin you showed me!! My boyfriend will probably crap his pants when he sees them, he likes to think he's Archer (unfortunately)
ReplyDeleteAs awesome as Archer is to watch, not so much if you're dating him. I'm hoping that your clothes aren't thrown outside if you don't make a meal correctly.
