Getting Ready for NYC....

Okay, first let me get one thing out of the way.  These are Arthur's half brothers and sister (they share the same father); they're 6 weeks old.

The little dude at the bottom right reminds me of Arthur...just want to cuddle them all.

As mentioned, Dan and I are traveling to New York on Wednesday (eek! only two days) so I'm in the process of making sure we're ready and I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed right now (there's also some stuff at work I'm trying to handle that isn't going my way so that's definitely contributing to the stress factor).

I'm trying to make lists to make sure we're not forgetting anything but I'm actually pretty terrible at it.  It's not the end of the world if I forget anything (except if it's passports or tickets) because I can just get what I need in New York but I'm still pretty stressed.

Dan's parents are watching Arthur and the only thing I have a handle on is my "How to take care of Arthur" care package which is a five page document, complete with diagrams.  It's actually pretty crazy, I feel like an overbearing mom.  I may posts parts of it at a later date once I redact all personal info, including the number for the hotel we're staying at (yes, I really did include that).  It's got some historical information about the breed and some breed traits/concerns so it's pretty informative if you're interested in French Bulldogs.

I already miss him and I haven't even left.

Do you have any tips for preparing for a trip?  Are lists the way to go?

Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

  1. I know how you feel. Whenever we go away I have to prepare the birds care package weeks in advance. We leave them with our vet nurse which makes me feel a little calmer about the whole thing, with Colin's special needs at least I know he will have someone who knows what to look for in a sick bird! I hope the next couple of days are relatively stress free and you enjoy your break.

  2. They're all sooo cute! Have a great time in New York! When I used to leave my horse in other peoples care I was like that too and I'd worry all the time (mainly worry that he's do something naughty and hurt someone though as he was the clumsiest elephant horse in the world haha)
