Friday Five Fave - November 2, 2012

It's time for Five things I'm diggin' this beautiful Friday!  Here they are in no particular order:

5. Jayson Weidel - "Fantastic Mr. Fox"

So yesterday I posted about the art of Dave Perillo (here) and I included a link to Spoke Art's "Bad Dads: A Wes Anderson Tribute" show and the store.  You should definitely check it out if you like Wes Anderson.  This print by Jayson Weidel is one of my favourites.  It's a bummer I didn't make it over to this site before it sold out.  I'm seriously contemplating buying this piece or this one as a consolation prize.

 4.  Nerdbiskit

I can't do a Friday Five Fave post in November without including something mustache related.  Although there are a ton of awesome mustache related items, I really did have to give up the first spot to the queen of the stache, Ms. Lisa Bell aka Nerdbiskit.  Here is the link to her etsy store, and you'll notice you can buy a 2013 calendar of Hot Chicks with Mustaches.

3. Sweet Marshmallow Mug Set - Plasticland

It's hot chocolate weather and what goes perfect with hot chocolate? MARSHMALLOWS! Although I have found a good vegan marshmallow substitute (Dandies), it'll be easier to get my marshmallow fix from this cute mug set.

2. Costume Favs

I saw two costumes this year that I wanted to share with you because they're too awesome not to share.

The first, is from this girl I met at TIFF a few years ago.  Not only does she have an awesome taste in movies (and bands), she has constructed, hands down, the greatest Simpsons related costume I've ever seen.  From comments I've seen on her Facebook, I understand this has been all over the internet so you may have already see this photo but if not, behold STUPID SEXY FLANDERS.

The second costume is Arthur's daycare girlfriend, Gertie, at Spaw's annual "Howl-oween" costume contest.  She's a toaster...look at how adorable!  

1.  Jake Scarf - from SappyMooseTree

If you like Adventure Time, take a gander at SappyMooseTree's etsy shop.  I'd describe it as, "like if the Land of Ooo exploded all over Etsy."   I was searching for winter related items (scarves, mitts, etc.) and came across this scarf.

Bonus: You can also buy a plush version of Meatwad's Hand Banana dog from Aqua Teen Hunger Force...or whatever it's called now.
